A new event coming to Shelby County (south of Birmingham) April 9th, the day after the NRC crits in Anniston. This race provides a great opportunity for amateur racers to get an extra day of racing before heading home!

Race Flyer (click to view larger)
Race Course – Riders stage and start at Shelby County High School and start an 11.7 mile loop. Please check the flyer for your categories distance and elevation profile. You can find the route on Strava here
Feed Zone – Feed zone is located at the start finish area. Neutral water is available, but you will need to have friends or family feed it (or you can be nice and hand them to people in other races!)
Wheel Trucks – Neutral wheels are not provided, riders must provide their own spare sets or provide team sets. All wheels must be labeled and placed in the appropriate (labeled) staging area at least 15 minutes prior to start. Wheels will be unloaded in the same location following the race.
Timing Chips – We are using Mylaps pro chips. There is no fee for chip rental, but please bring us back the chip after you are done racing. Chips are to be mounted on the fork only by zip ties provided in your registration packet. If you do not return the chip, you will be contacted to return it following the race. If you do not return the chip at all you will be charged $50.
Number Placement – Numbers are on the right side, 8-10 pins are included in your registration packet.
Volunteers – We need several volunteers to help with lead/follow car driving, corner marshals, feed zone, and setup/breakdown help. If you or a family/friend are available, please email Virginia@localbikeracing.com . We provide a free entry credit to any volunteers that helps for at least 3 hours.
